Karen Engle is Director of the School of Creative Arts at the University of Windsor, Canada. Areas of research interest include visual culture, histories of photography, built environment, and affect. Recent publications include: “The Boondoggle: Lee Miller and the Vicissitudes of Private Archives.” Photographies 8.1 (2015); and “Becoming Monument; Activating Windsor.” Societies 3.4 (2013). Finally, “Fragments of Desire.” Imaginations: Journal of Cross-Cultural Image Studies (forthcoming in 2017).
Her first book, Seeing Ghosts: 9/11 and the Visual Imagination, was published in 2009 by McGill-Queen’s University Press.
