Invisible Print Studio is pleased to present An Extension of Circumstance, an exhibition by Steven Scott. For this exhibition Scott utilises light projections, screens, LEDs and print to offer different takes on the perception of movement as accumulations of iterations, gaps and simultaneities: One piece of work operating as fluctuating difference between two points in time, another as a subtle relay between two points in space, the third as an image that alludes to such forms of difference as possibility.
These works present alternations between dual elements as a basis for engagement, and as such Scott acknowledges filmmaker Werner Nekes’ notion that, at its most fundamental, ‘Cinema is the difference between two frames’.
Steven Scott is a London based artist working with moving image, projection, installation and print. He is currently undertaking a PhD in Fine Art at the Royal College of Art, London. He exhibits internationally, most recently in Kuwait and Brazil, as well as Berlin, Antwerp and London.
